Google Chromebooks issued to Perrysburg students 5th – 12th grade for one-to-one use with pre-set wallpaper options featuring “LGBTQ Artists”

Images below are from a student’s 5th grade Chromebook. Artists featured include Sofie Birkin, who’s art is full of nudity and sexual content. Chromebooks issued from the district will not allow access to her website.  Words presented in wallpaper image options for students however include “Lavender Lounge“, “Both Ways”, and “Sappho”. Chromebooks are also used one-to-one in 3rd & 4th grade classrooms in the district with, but not taken home.

February 2022 Diverse Learners Professional Development Day

Gender and sexuality sessions sponsored by the district were presented by Kaleidoscope Youth Center and BGSU. Below are the PowerPoint presentations used to train teachers in the district on these topics.

This survey is a tool endorsed by CASEL used to collect sensitive, subjective social and emotional data on children grades 3-12. It aligns with CASEL’s districtwide framework and their “3 Signature Practices Playbook

District Mask Exemption Requests Public Record

As of 2/2/2022 all requested exemptions based on a sincerely held religious belief have been denied.

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Curriculum

Caring School Community is a Tier 1 curriculum currently being piloted at Woodland Elementary. It aligns with CASEL’s “Framework for Districtwide Social Emotional Learning”. CASEL defines SEL as “transformative” and a “lever for social justice”.
